Welcome to the Owens Community College Foundation Scholarship Homepage.
The 2024-2025 application is now open!
Please have your 100+ word personal statement ready. Do not include your name in your statement. Please read all of the following instructions very carefully.
Check your Owens email inbox and Ozone for updates after applying.
The Foundation Scholarship application has a first-review deadline of May 31, 2024, and the application will close at the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester. Any applications received on or before the first-review deadline will be prioritized, and initial awards will go to those students. Any applications received after the first-review deadline will be reviewed, but awards may be limited or exhausted.
If you are offered a scholarship, you must accept your scholarship and complete your donor thank you within 14 days. If you do not, your scholarship will then be offered to another student.
You must be registered for the required amount of credits on your scholarship criteria no later than July 31 and have no holds on your student account. Registration and GPA are checked each semester.
.
Below you will find a listing of scholarships available to students with brief information about the scholarship qualifications. To apply, click the Sign In button above; you will use the same username and password you use to access the Owens campus login portal. You will then have the opportunity to complete a general application, which is needed to be considered for all Owens Foundation scholarships on this website.
1. All awards will be split between Fall and Spring semesters unless otherwise noted.
2. Awards will be made as long as funding is available. Amounts may vary.
3. Unless otherwise noted, recipients must be students taking coursework for academic credit and counting toward a degree or certificate at Owens Community College (you must have a declared major).
4. Scholarships based on financial need require you to have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file. Please use school code 005753 when completing the FAFSA to ensure it is on file with Owens Community College. If you wish to be considered for all scholarships – including those based on financial need – you must have a current FAFSA on file. Applicants without a current FAFSA on file will only be considered for scholarships which are not based on financial need.
5. Be sure to click the “I AGREE” area at the end of your scholarship to be considered.
If you have any questions, please contact the Student Service Center at (567) 661-2387, your Student Financial Services Advisor, or email studentfinancial@owens.edu.
