Max Martinez, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Martinez family established this scholarship in honor of their father. “Big Max,” as he was affectionately know, was dedication to making life better for others. He loved his family and he loved his community. When he saw a need, he acted. He tirelessly gave his time and energy to provide kids the opportunity to develop their talents and build character. The recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours (12 preferred) in the Fall and Spring Semesters at Owens Community College and shall have at least a 2.5 CGPA. Recipient must be a student of Latinx heritage. Preference will also be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need through the appropriate forms as administered and recommended by the Owens Financial Aid Office.
